Keep it simple, silly. OK, that’s not the exact saying, but the meaning is the same. I try to keep my processes, my copy, my design, and my work simple and straightforward. The more direct and honest my work is, the more authentic and engaging it is.

My Background

I began my career as a magazine writer and editor. For six years, I wrote and edited feature articles, news columns, and web content for business magazines. From there, I moved into corporate communications and marketing and have been there ever since.

I have a knack for learning new technologies, so whenever a new marketing / communications channel or tool came along, I was the one who picked it up and ran with it. I’ve also picked up quite a few marketing skills along the way, which I’ve used to build brands, inform the public, generate leads, and build awareness for such industries as electric utilities, economic development, medical malpractice insurance, higher education, commercial real estate, nonprofit, healthcare, healthcare IT, federal contracting, and public health.

While my soft spot will always be writing and content strategy, I am equally accomplished in developing integrated marketing strategies, implementing them, tracking the results, and making data-driven recommendations for improvement.
