I have been responsible for developing the social media strategy for non-profits and for-profits in the business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C) arenas. Throughout my career, I developed social media campaigns for products, services, and events, as well as thought leadership and cultural campaigns for employee recruitment and retention. As a one-person team, I developed social media calendars, wrote the posts, designed the graphics, took photos or videos, scheduled posts on a variety of platforms (Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Oktopost, and Sendable), and tracked the results. Here are a few samples of my work.
Equity Assistance South Social Media
I helped the Equity Assistance Center South at the Southern Education Foundation establish its first social media strategy. EAC-South had just recently moved to the SEF and while we were developing the website and new collateral, we moved forward with getting news out about the new director and upcoming webinars. Later, as the site was ready to launch we began promoting the new site, and the next step in the process was to set up social media accounts specifically for EAC-South, but we wanted to start building awareness through the existing network established by SEF. Here are a few posts about professional development opportunities and the announcement for the center’s new director.

Karna LLC Thought Leadership Campaign
Karna LLC was transitioning from a staff augmentation federal contractor to a consulting agency. The communications strategies focused on two main areas in its first year – establishing the organization as a thought leader in specific public health specialties and creating a culture to recruit top candidates and retain great employees. The first set of social media posts focuses on thought leadership pieces such as blog posts and case studies. The second set focuses on recruitment and retention. I wrote the copy, researched the taglines, and produced the graphics.

Hemophilia of Georgia First Virtual Camp Wannaklot Campaign
Hemophilia of Georiga had always conducted its events in person. Camp Wannaklot, the group’s annual summer camp for children with hemophilia and other bleeding disorders, was its premier event of the year. HoG did not want to disappoint the children and needed to continue with its efforts to educate clients on living with a bleeding disorder and building a community for such a rare disease. We decided to conduct a virtual summer camp and created a social media campaign to keep parents and clients engaged with the event from the announcement to the last day. I wrote the copy and developed all of the graphics.

Ingenious Med “Right Side of Healthcare Tour” Campaign
As part of our thought leadership efforts, the Ingenious Med team embarked on a nationwide, year-long road trip – complete with a tricked-out van for clients and guests. This social media campaign provides a few highlights throughout the tour – from kick-off to completion.
