Web Design & UX

Georgia Tech Manufacturing Institute Web Rebrand

Habitat for Humanity International UX Project

I was asked to overhaul the Habitat for Humanity intranet, which was used by both corporate employees in Atlanta, as well as 1,400 affiliates across the U.S. I conducted multiple focus groups and surveys of a wide sample of affiliates to gather feedback on what was working and not working with the intranet. I analyzed results, put together recommendations, and created wireframes and a visual mock-up of my proposed changes. Once approved by leadership, I beta tested a pilot site with some of the affiliates and received positive feedback. The new design was rolled out across the intranet for all programs and services. I also produced a guideline for content managers for regular maintenance and clean-up of content. Slide the arrows to see the difference between the text-heavy site with no navigation, to the improved site with icons and descriptors to help visitors find exactly the information they were looking for. We also improved the search tool.
